A Hueytown restaurant manager is under arrest after police say she locked a group of teen boys in the business because she wrongly believed one of them paid with counterfeit money.
The 33-year-old Birmingham woman, whose name has not been publicly released, is charged with three counts of unlawful imprisonment, which is a Class A misdemeanor, and one count of harassment, a Class C misdemeanor.
The ordeal happened last Thursday, according to the mother of one of the teens.
Erica Davis Temple said about a dozen teens, including her 17-year-old son, went to the restaurant after football and basketball practice, which they usually do.
Her son paid for his order with a $50 bill and received his change.
