Former Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb shook up a crowded primary and established himself as an early frontrunner after officially entering the Republican race to succeed Rep. Andy Biggs.
Lamb, 53, has been a known figure in Arizona politics for nearly a decade, earning national media attention during the COVID-19 pandemic after he refused to enforce a stay-at-home order issued by then-Gov. Doug Ducey, and regularly speaking at President Donald Trump’s campaign rallies.
