The current series of Strictly will be the last for both Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. The co-hosts announced this morning, October 23, that they would be leaving this year. ‌

Although their pact to quit together has been an open secret in the industry, the move still came as a shock to colleagues and fans alike today. ‌

Claudia and Tess have hosted together since 2014. Tess has fronted the show since its first episode in 2004, initially with Sir Bruce Forsyth before Claudia moved up from spin-off It Takes Two following Brucie's retirement. ‌

They released a video statement on Instagram today, confirming the news. This was followed up by heartfelt individual posts about their time on the show.
