Bhubaneswar: Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Thursday strongly backed the state government’s decision to go for a CBI investigation into the police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam.
A day after Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi recommended a CBI probe into the SI exam scandal, Harichandan said the state government is committed to ensuring transparency and fairness in recruitment examinations. ADVERTISEMENT
“The present government has been steadfast in its efforts to bring complete transparency to all recruitment examinations for the youth”, the Law Minister said.
He said a new law has already been introduced to impose stricter penalties on anyone attempting to undermine the integrity of these examinations.
