The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert as a depression over the Southeast Arabian Sea has intensified. This development is expected to bring heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms to the west coast and Southern India. Maharashtra, in particular, is forecasted to receive intense rainfall on Thursday and for the next three days until October 26.

Moderate rain and thundershowers are very likely many parts of South Madhya Maharashtra. Light to moderate rain with thundershowers is expected at several places North Madhya Maharashtra. The city and suburbs can expect partly cloudy skies with possible thunderstorms, moderate rainfall, and gusty winds by evening or night. Temperatures will range between a high of 36°C and a low of 25°C.
