WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) -- One person was injured after a crash involving at three vehicles in the southern portion of Williamson County on Thursday morning.

The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on October 23, at the intersection of Highway 148 and Grassy Road.

Multiple first responders arrived at the scene to assist, including members from the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, Lake of Egypt Fire Protection District, Marion Police and United Medical Response.

One vehicle had significant damage to the front, while another vehicle had damage to the rear passenger door.

Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Diederich said one person was taken to the hospital with light to moderate injuries.

Traffic was impacted as crews were working the scene.
