SAN FRANCISCO – Steve Kerr has a message for all the keyboard critics and invisible basketball experts, the folks so eager to tell the world what they think about him as a coach and, in some cases, as a man.

He does not see your words. He cannot hear you speak. Opine away because he is blissfully unaware of your praise and your disgust about his guidance of the Golden State Warriors.

What began as a boycott of social media has become final closure. Kerr’s X account, once so active, went from three years of purposeful neglect to completely being shuttered about a year ago.

He has joined the legions of those who have stopped scrolling newsfeeds – about sports or society – because it can be such an unhealthy habit.
