Special judicial swearing-in ceremony held for Schnearia Ashley in Southwest Philadelphia with Bartram High School students

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A special swearing-in ceremony was held in Southwest Philadelphia.

Schnearia Ashley was sworn in by Superior Court Judge Timika Lane Thursday morning.

Ashley is the head of Governor Shapiro's Advisory Commission on African American Affairs.
