It's that time of year again: The temperatures across eastern South Dakota are forecast to drop below freezing during the night of Oct. 21 and the morning of Oct. 22, according to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls.
The low temperature in Sioux Falls during the morning of Oct. 22 is expected to be 30 degrees, with temperatures a few degrees colder in communities farther to the north, including Aberdeen, Brookings and Watertown.
"Make those protective actions count the next couple of nights with several hours of temperatures below freezing expected," the weather service said in an Oct. 21 X post .
