LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - The Nebraska Public Service Commission is investigating Roberts Seed Inc. for improper licensing and has ordered it to “immediately cease and desist all operations.”
The PSC’s grain department did an inspection of the Axtell, Neb., company on Monday and determined it has been buying commodities from Nebraska producers and storing them without the proper licenses, according to a Wednesday news release from the state agency. Officials say Roberts Seed is lacking two valid licenses: one allowing them to operate as a grain dealer and another allowing them to be a grain warehouse.
“It is imperative that our producers/sellers who are in the thick of harvest season are aware that this company does not hold a license to conduct grain dealer or grain warehouse activity
