Odisha is set to witness one of its largest industrial projects as Vedanta Limited announces a massive investment in the Dhenkanal district. The project, which will involve an investment to the tune of Rs 1 lakh crore, aims to produce 30 lakh tonnes of aluminium annually, marking a significant boost to the state’s industrial landscape.

Vedanta’s Chairman Anil Agarwal shared details of the project following discussions with Odisha Chief Minister (CM) Mohan Majhi. According to Agarwal, once the land acquisition is completed, work on the project will commence within three to four months. The company aims to complete the project within three to three-and-a-half years.
