Dave Ball, the songwriter, producer, instrumentalist, and member of the English synthpop duo Soft Cell , has died at the age of 66.
Per The Guardian , representatives for Ball confirmed that he “passed away peacefully in his sleep at his London home on Wednesday.” No cause of death has been released as of publication.
Ball’s partner in Soft Cell, vocalist Marc Almond, paid tribute to Ball : “He was a wonderfully brilliant musical genius … Thank you Dave for being an immense part of my life and for the music you gave me. I wouldn’t be where I am without you.” Related Video
