DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) -- An investigation is underway in Columbia after a hit-and-run involving a 4-wheeler.
Initial reports show the crash occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. on River Road, near Gilbert Road and the bridge on Highway 52 crossing the Chattahoochee River.
Columbia Police say a woman was riding a 4-wheeler when she was hit by another vehicle. The woman was critically injured and taken to a local hospital. Her current condition is unknown.
According to the CPD, the driver of the other vehicle left the scene but was later found and arrested.
The suspect's name and exact charges have not been released.
The investigation is still ongoing.
Columbia Police are expected to release additional information later on Thursday.
