EXCLUSIVE: The Directors Guild of America’s Women’s Steering Committee has announced a new cohort for DGA WSC Squad, its program supporting mid-career women and nonbinary directors, which is wrapping up its fifth cycle and entering its sixth.

The DGA’s nine-month program pairs filmmakers with award-winning, established mentors as they navigate the next phase in their careers. The effort to build out a solid community of working DGA women directors continues, at a time where only 16% of feature films are directed by women, per studies from San Diego State University and the DGA, with a decrease in episodic directors of 8%.

The sixth cohort, beginning work together this month, includes:
