INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man was sentenced for murdering a woman on the city's northwest side in June .
James Wallace, 24, pleaded guilty to murder and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon. As part of the plea agreement, an additional murder charge and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury were dismissed.
A judge sentenced Wallace to 45 years in prison, along with an additional three years for a Marion County Community Corrections violation.
Around 3:30 p.m. June 26, officers responded to a death investigation in the 6400 block of Maidstone Road, near the intersection of West 46th Street and North High School Road.
