Melville is preparing to welcome the province’s top curlers this January as the city hosts the 2026 SaskTel Tankard and Bunge Prairie Pinnacle in a combined format at the CN Community Centre.
Host Committee Chair Larry Peterson says excitement is already building.
“We’re all excited. It’s great for the community and for curling in the area,” Peterson said. “We’ve hosted three of these events before and every one has been successful. It’s a lot of work, but it’s always worth it.”
Peterson noted the event provides a major boost for both the Melville Curling Club and the community, helping fund rink improvements and attract visitors to local businesses.
