The Marvel Cinematic Universe could have the perfect cosmic replacement for Chris Pratt's Star-Lord if a popular casting choice joins the franchise as a particular fan-favorite character. Star-Lord has been part of the MCU since 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy , and his storyline came full circle in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 . Despite the movie promising his return, Pratt may eventually retire from the franchise, and if that happens, Marvel has the perfect replacement.

Earlier this month, Avengers: Doomsday writer Michael Waldron spoke about his new project, the Hulu comedy Chad Powers starring Glen Powell. In an interview with The Playlist , Waldron was asked who he'd cast Powell as in the MCU, if given free rein. Waldron answered, "He’d be a pretty good Nova."
