The North Andover officer accused of aiming a gun at her fellow officers when she was shot by them appeared in probate court on Thursday as she continued her fight to be reconnected with her infant son.
Kelsey Fitzsimmons' family attorney, Julie Hess, said they were in court working to resolve custody and visitation issues.

“I will say the provisions that are in the stipulation are moving toward a reconnection with her and her son,” Hess said. “It's positive steps, and I am happy to say that both sides are on the same page for that.”
It was the first time Fitzsimmons was in the same room with fiancé since he requested the restraining order that ultimately led to her shooting on June 30.
