QUINCY (WGEM) - Wednesday night’s Quincy Public Schools (QPS) board meeting continued the search for its new superintendent.
The meeting first started off with the Bicentennial Award presentation, where those in attendance were given a gift bag to commemorate 200 years of Adams County.
Interim Superintendent Cal Lee then gave a presentation where he shared data comparing Quincy’s superintendent compensation package compared to other districts across Illinois.
“I want people to realize what we’re offering may not be enough to get the person we want because we want someone to come here and commit to being here and staying here,” said Lee. “I don’t want some up-and-comer to make a name and move on, I want someone who wants to be here and grow with this community and I can’t do that if I do
