Sarah Ferguson is reportedly "on the verge of a breakdown" amid the controversy surrounding her links to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein . The 66-year-old has long supported Prince Andrew , and the two remain close friends despite their divorce in 1996. ‌

She recently came under fire fire following new revelations about an email she sent to Epstein in 2011, following his release from jail child sex offences. In the email, Sarah appears to apologise for distancing herself from her "supreme friend" after it emerged that he had bailed her out financially. ‌

After the email surfaced, several charities linked to Sarah, including The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation and Prevent Breast Cancer, have ended her role as patron, the Express reports. ‌
