Tesla is recalling certain 2025 Model 3 and 2026 Model Y cars which may cause the driver to lose the ability to accelerate the vehicle, raising the risk of a crash, Reuters reported, citing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Tesla found 36 warranty claims and 26 field reports connected to the problem as of October 7, but told USA Today it’s unaware of any crashes, injuries or deaths related to the defect.
