The Mega Millions jackpot has nearly hit $700 million ahead of its drawing on Friday, marking it the ninth-largest jackpot in game history.

The jackpot is worth $680 million as of Oct. 23, with an estimated cash value of $318.2 million.

There have been no winners in the game for 33 drawings in the past three and a half months, since the jackpot was last hit in Virginia on June 27.

The drawing for the giant pot will be held at 11 p.m. on Oct. 24. Players can buy tickets at Massachusetts State Lottery retailers across the state until 10:45 p.m. on Friday.

There hasn’t been a top 10 jackpot in the game since December 2024, when the prize ultimately reached a $1.269 billion jackpot.
