Bo Bichette‘s status remains up in the air heading into Game 1 of the World Series on Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Thursday that Bichette continues to hit, run and take groundballs. If Bichette is on the roster, Schneider left the door open to him being used at shortstop, designated hitter or second base, saying he “could see all three of those things happening.”

The team’s usual shortstop was taking ground balls at second base at Rogers Centre on Wednesday.

After the Blue Jays’ Game 7 ALCS win against the Seattle Mariners on Monday, Bichette told reporters he expected to be available for the World Series.

Bichette was left off the Blue Jays’ ALDS and ALCS roster after suffering a knee sprain Sept. 6 against the New York Yankees.
