(FOX40.COM) — The City of Sacramento is expanding entertainment zones where people can purchase to-go alcoholic beverages in public spaces during approved special events.
On Tuesday, the City Council approved updates to the City Code to expand Sacramento's entertainment zone, adding two zones in the 17th and R streets area and the Handle District.
“This expansion builds on the excitement and success we’ve already seen,” Tina Lee-Vogt, the City’s nighttime economy manager, said. “Entertainment zones help create more opportunities for people to connect, experience Sacramento’s culture and support our small businesses.”
