(FOX40.com) – Officials at Sacramento State University are increasing security and staffing ahead of Friday night’s football game against the Montana Grizzlies. This week the university also adjusted its crowd management strategy.

The changes came nearly a week after the homecoming post-game concert with rapper Lil Yachty was cut short due to behavior from the community that did not meet the university’s policies.

University President Dr. Luke Wood said there were over 20,000 fans in attendance last Saturday, a mix of students and community members. Students told FOX40 several fights broke out before the game ended and that people even jumped over the stands as soon as they saw the stage fully set up.
