Whoops, I only just now realized that Williams is starring in the latest Colleen Hoover adaptation, Regretting You . My defense is that, until about this week, all the press for this film was on college campuses and featuring the younger actress in the film, McKenna Grace, and I assumed it was a Netflix movie about a bad breakup for the youngs that was getting a focused push. It WAS getting a focused push but the rest of my assumptions were wrong! (I am not familiar with the Hoover oeuvre .) You know what they say. Anyway, it is getting VERY bad reviews and I suspect Williams did not want to do weeks and weeks of press for a clunker (although perhaps Hoover’s fans, of which there are many, will come out anyway). The good news is that at least she looks great while this is happening.
