A Florida woman who was 19 years old when she allegedly crashed her Lexus into a local attorney's minivan, killing her and injuring the victim's elderly mother, has turned herself in to police.
Sofia Todorov, now 20, reportedly turned herself in at the Broward County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday, when she was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide and two counts of reckless driving. The incident took place on the morning of May 19, 2024, when Todorov allegedly hit a speed of 124 mph before hitting a minivan carrying 65-year-old Lorene Seeler Young and her 84-year-old mother, Virginia Baker, who was driving.
Young was killed, and her mother sustained "permanent and continuing" injuries, according to court documents reviewed by Law&Crime.
