Carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas that can be deadly if undetected produced from heating, cooking, vehicle exhaust, or generators.

A press release from the Washington State Fire Marshal's Office says the United States Fire Administration reports that more than 150 deaths are caused by carbon monoxide exposure every year. Last year there were more than 500 carbon monoxide incidents and two people were killed in Washington state.
