The 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China concluded its fourth plenary session on Thursday, unveiling key recommendations for the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) in a pivotal move to shape China’s future.
Participants adopted the Recommendations of the CPC Central Committee for Formulating the “15th Five-Year Plan” for economic and social development, according to a communique of the session released on Thursday.
The Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee presided over the meeting. Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, delivered important addresses, according to the communique. The participants discussed a report presented by Xi on the work of the Political Bureau. Xi also delivered explanatory remarks on the draft recommendations.
