Community Harvest Food Bank kicks off 11th annual ‘U Can Crush Hunger’ campaign

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Community Harvest Food Bank is kicking off its 11th annual ‘U Can Crush Hunger’ campaign.

The campaign is a competitive food and fundraising drive between area schools that helps the organization provide meals to thousands of northeast Indiana families during the holidays while supporting food pantries on local college campuses for students struggling with food insecurity.

Participating schools include:

Huntington University

Indiana Institute of Technology

Indiana University Fort Wayne

Ivy Tech Community College

Manchester University

Purdue University Fort Wayne

Trine University

University of Saint Francis

The participating schools are competing for a traveling trophy.

Every dollar donated toward the campaign provides four pounds of food.
