More than $12,000 has been dispersed to tenants left without a home and others affected by the Oct. 9 downtown Lakefield fire.

Lakefield Village Lions Club president Marilyn McMullan said fundraising efforts are still ongoing, with the Lakefield Curling Club holding a Funspiel on Nov. 1 to further assist those in need.
