A dead body was found in a dumpster outside of a Roxbury home Thursday morning.

According to Boston police, officials responded to a home on Dewitt Drive around 9:37 a.m. for reports of a body found.

Boston police and homicide investigators stayed on scene throughout the afternoon.

An investigation is ongoing.
