WAUNAKEE, Wis. (WKOW) — The Waunakee Senior Center is seeking volunteers for its "Snow Angels" program to assist local seniors with snow shoveling this winter.
The initiative connects volunteers with older adults who need help clearing their driveways and walkways, ensuring safety and accessibility during the snowy months.
“We’re looking for caring individuals who can give a little of their time after snowfalls to help keep our seniors safe at home,” said Diane Goldensoph, Waunakee Senior Center program coordinator, in a press release. “Even small acts of kindness like shoveling can make a big difference.”
Those interested in volunteering can contact the Waunakee Senior Center at 608-849-8548 or email dgoldensoph@waunakee.com for more information.
