OREGON, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford man has been convicted for his part in a violent Rochelle home invasion and robbery that took place in February.
According to Ogle County State's Attorney Mike Rock, Mark Cooper, 52, was found guilty on two counts of home invasion, one count of armed robbery, and one count of armed habitual criminal in a jury trial on Thursday.
Authorities said that on February 21st, 2025, Cooper and a female suspect entered a residence occupied by two adults and attacked them.
Police said the female suspect knocked on an apartment door in the 100 block of 7th Avenue, claiming to need assistance.
