The holiday season is just around the corner and for those planning to send gifts through the mail, the United States Postal Service says it’s ready to handle the increased workload. That’s thanks to $20 billion in investments made over the last four years, according to the service.
The massive investment improved facilities and processing capabilities across the country, giving USPS the ability to handle a heavier workload in a more timely manner.
These improved offerings have helped the agency remain competitive with non-government shipping services like FedEx and UPS.
“The Postal Service plans throughout the year to deliver the nation’s mail and packages during the high-volume holiday season and we are well prepared and ready to deliver for the American public,” said Postmaster Gene
