CUSTER TOWNSHIP — The Antrim County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people Sunday after a traffic stop led to the discovery of heroin, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.
According to an Oct. 23 news release from Sheriff Kevin Hoch, deputies conducted a drug interdiction traffic stop on Bailey Road near Countyline Road in Custer Township on Oct. 19. The vehicle was occupied by a male driver and a female passenger.
During the stop, Antrim County K-9 Zeke alerted to the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle. A subsequent search led to the discovery of 11.4 grams of heroin and fentanyl, along with drug paraphernalia.
Both occupants were arrested and lodged in the Antrim County Jail, where they remain pending formal charges and arraignment. Their names have not been released.
