Bell Canada customers with Google devices from the the Pixel 7, 8, 9 and 10 families are currently experiencing difficulties calling 9-1-1, the telecom company said Thursday.

Bell spokesperson Ellen Murphy said the company is “actively engaged with Google to identify the cause and resolve this issue as quickly as possible.”

Ms. Murphy said the company became aware of the issue late in the morning on Thursday and that it was not unique to Bell.

It’s unclear how many of Bell’s customers are affected.

The telecom company has a banner at the top of its website alerting customers to the issue. Competitors Telus and Rogers had no such notice on their websites as of Thursday at 4 p.m.
