Footage shows the moment fire crews battled a blaze on an East Lothian high street on Thursday morning.

Around 3.30am on October 23, firefighters were spotted tackling a bin fire on Haddington Street while rubbish and recycling was strewn across the road.

One appliance was dispatched to the scene and four firefighters were pictured before extinguishing the fire.

Earlier on Thursday, Edinburgh Live reported discarded recycling was scattered across the main thoroughfare in the town. Piles of cardboard can be seen beside the Market Cross.

It's understood the fire is being treated as wilful and Scottish Fire and Rescue left the scene just before 4am.
