When it comes to favorite colors, it appears the world has a type.
Crayola, the world’s largest art supplies company, revealed the results of its first-ever global color vote this week.
Held in honor of National Color Day, consumers from 183 countries cast their votes, revealing the top three favorite Crayola colors are Cerulean (blue), Robin’s Egg Blue and Wisteria (light bluish-purple).
In the U.S., Cerulean is overwhelmingly the favorite color, taking the top spot in 46 of 50 states.
Globally, the results revealed surprising similarities, but also a few standout shades that reflected regional personality, pride and cultural palettes:
Canada: Cerulean, Robin’s Egg Blue, Wild Strawberry
UK: Cerulean, Wisteria, Wild Strawberry
Mexico: Lavender, Turquoise Blue, Wisteria
Italy: Sky B
