What a week of music it has been, and there have been so many sweet sounds throughout over our communities it is impossible for one person to take them all in at once.
I’ve done my best and am highlighting some of them here and in this column on Monday.
Since last Friday, I’ve celebrated the Oklahoma City Philharmonic at the Maestro’s Ball , seen the Indigo Girls in concert at Scissortail Park , attended the Sinfonia Orchestral Society ‘s community concert in Oklahoma City and watched U2’s Bono and The Edge accept the prestigious Woody Guthrie Prize from the Woody Guthrie Center on stage at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa. I didn’t get to hear Paul McCartney play at the BOK Center in Tulsa, but I have loved seeing the videos from friends who did.
