STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - Two people were injured after a crash in Steuben County on Wednesday.
Indiana State Police (ISP) says a trooper was near the intersection of US 20 and County Road 20 North around 3 p.m. when they heard loud crash sounds.
According to the trooper, there were vehicles and smoke visible a few hundred yards away from their post.
The trooper says they made their way to the scene immediately after, where they located three heavily damaged vehicles and multiple injured people.
A preliminary investigation indicates an SUV was traveling east on US 20, near the intersection with County Road 20 North, when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a utility truck driving westbound on US 20.
