‘Wicked’ to air on 12 On Your Side in November

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The biggest Broadway film adaptation of all-time is coming to 12 On Your Side next month.

NBC announced on Thursday that “Wicked,” which has earned $756 million, will air from 8 to 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

The telecast comes less than a year after the movie’s theatrical release.

“The NBC telecast of ‘Wicked’ leads up to the Nov. 21 premiere of ‘Wicked: For Good,’ the epic finale to the global cultural phenomenon,” NBC said in a news release.

“Wicked” stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum.

The film won two Academy Awards, for Best Achievement in Production Design and for Best Achievement in Costume Design.
