Here we snow again.

The first significant snowfall has arrived in Upstate New York — well, in the mountains at least.

The ASRC Whiteface Mountain Field Station reported a coating of snow atop the Adirondack High Peak early Thursday morning. At 4,867 feet, Whiteface is the fifth-highest mountain in New York and apparently, the first to break out the winter look.

A layer of powder covered the popular tourist site, signaling that fall foliage season is nearing its end. As of Thursday afternoon, the summit’s live camera was still blocked by the wintry weather — just a white screen of snow.
