MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – Two Pick ‘n Save employees are being recognized for their quick actions that helped save a customer’s life inside the Manitowoc store.

Katilyn Popp and Samarah Holschpach were presented with certificates of appreciation and the Allstate Angel Award on Thursday morning for performing CPR on a customer who collapsed while shopping.

“I just kind of ended up on the floor right after he fell down,” said Popp. “I just did what I had to do.”

Holschpach, who was just starting her shift when it happened, says the experience changed her perspective.

“It definitely changed me,” she said. “I was already going to go into first responding, so it kind of helped me step forward in that way.”
