2Bronx, NY – A woman fought back against a would-be robber who attacked her in broad daylight Friday on a Bronx street, police said.

The 24-year-old victim was walking near 1210 Elder Avenue around 11:40 a.m. when a man on a two-wheel scooter rode up and grabbed her chain and purse.

During the struggle, the woman managed to wrestle her belongings back before the suspect fled north on Elder Avenue.
