MONONA, Wis. (WKOW) — Monona police are investigating a drive-by shooting where a bullet struck an uninvolved vehicle on Wednesday.
The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. on the 2200 block of West Broadway, according to Monona Police Chief Brian Chaney. Officers determined that an uninvolved vehicle was struck by a bullet as it traveled west on Broadway. No one was hurt.
The bullets are believed to have come from vehicles traveling east on Broadway, Chaney reported.
Additional evidence was found in the area, including a bullet that hit an apartment building in Madison.
Monona police have identified one of the vehicles involved, an SUV, which was found with multiple bullet holes. Investigators are still searching for the second vehicle and are reviewing video footage from nearby busin
