The Game One starting pitchers for the World Series have been named. Blake Snell will be getting the start for the Los Angeles Dodgers, while Trey Yesavage will be starting for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Snell only made 11 regular season starts for the Dodgers but was excellent in those outings, putting up a 2.35 ERA and a 2.70 FIP. He started Game 1 of the Wild Card Series and NLCS for the Dodgers, and Game 2 of the NLDS. In his three playoff starts this postseason he has allowed two runs in 21 innings while striking out 28 batters and walking just five. After never having gone more than 5.2 innings in 12 previous playoff appearances, Snell has thrown 6 innings or more in all three games this postseason.
