Nijinsky : On its world-premiere run, this multi-act Alberta Ballet tribute to Vaslav Nijinsky, the greatest male ballet dancer of the 20 th century, has four separate choreographers — including Ballet Edmonton’s artistic director Kirsten Wicklund taking on Stravinski’s Firebird.

Afternoon on a Faun will be choreographed by One Yellow Rabbit’s Denise Clarke, Petrushka by National Ballet of Canada’s Alyssa Martin, and Dance//Novella’s Racheal Prince will choreograph Spectre de la Rose — dozens of top notch dancers in shimmering costumes weaving space throughout the four pieces.

Bonus: awesome Calgary visual artist Chris Cran designed the backdrop for the Faun number.
