WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — It was the best Christmas gift he could have asked for, and now, one local man wants to thank the team that saved his life.
On our most recent edition of 12 Health, Shannon Hegy sat down with Dan Couture of North Smithfield, who suffered a widowmaker heart attack on Christmas Day in 2011. He said the team at Landmark Medical Center saved his life.
The cardiologist who was there that day, Dr. Walid Saber, is still Dan's doctor, and joined the interview as well to talk about the warning signs of a heart attack.
Dan remembers it all like it was yesterday and still gets emotional talking about it.
