Worried about the practice finances, James Herriot decided to take on the role and headed to Hensfield Racetrack in a bid to make extra money.

After being swarmed by angry racegoers for saving the dog, James had to make a hasty and sneaky exit from the racetrack with help from a drunk Siegfried Farnon as they kidnapped the whippet
